CANADIAN STANDARDIZATION ASSOCIATION is a prestigious organization in North America responsible for developing and updating the Standards, and CSA international on the other hand does the testing and certification job against the respective standard. CANADIAN STANDARDIZATION ASSOCIATION has recently upgraded its Standard for the Safety Footwear and has introduced the new Standard CSA/CAN Z195-02.
 
Superior Footwear proudly announces that it  has already qualified for this new standard. Therefore Superior Footwear is in a position to serve their Canadian customer supplying them our made Safety Footwear with this new Safety Footwear Standard:  CSA/CAN Z195-02 .
 
CSA standard CAN/CSA Z195-02 comes with two Grades. Superior Footwear's product has qualified for the Grade -1 certification, which is depicted by the Green Triangle. Use of this Green Triangle signifies that the particular Safety Footwear can withstand the most difficult and stringent standard e-g (125 joules impact test and it has puncher resistance steel mid sole which can withstand force of not less than 1200 N ).Furthermore our sole is made to protect a worker against electric shock ESR which is also a requirement for Grade 1 Standard CSA Safety Footwear.
 
 
 
CE- MARKING
 
CE is an abbreviation for 'Conformité Européenne', French for 'European Conformity'. The CE Marking indicates that the product it is affixed to conforms to all relevant essential requirements and other applicable provisions that have been imposed upon it by means of European directives, and that the product has been subject to the appropriate conformity assessment procedure.
 
EU directive on PPE Personal Protective Equipment EEC Directive 89/686/EEC has made it mandatory to use CE- MARKING on Safety Footwear. There are various Standards applicable for Safety footwear.
Superior Footwear Co Ltd. has received CE TYPE EXAMINATION CERTIFICATE in accordance to Standard EN 345-1 SB : 1997 "SAFETY FOOTWEAR FOR PROFESSIONAL USE-PART 1" , and is permitted to use the CE Marking logo in its product.
 
 
ANSI
 
Occupational Safety & Health Administration of The U.S. DEPARTMENT OF LABOR states that
"The employer shall ensure that each affected employee wears protective footwear when working in areas where there is a danger of foot injuries due to falling or rolling objects or objects piercing the sole" It further stated that the safety footwear must comply to the ANSI Z-41 -1999  American National Standard for Personal Protection-Protective Footwear."
 
Superior Footwear Safety Footwear meets and exceeds the U.S. Standard :  ANSI Z-41-1999 standard and is laboratory tested.
